Boot Camp = Pain

Posted Oct 21 2008 12:14am
I showed up to my first-ever boot camp this morning and am paying the price with pain. It is run by a trainer at a local park for 45 minutes and combines running with strength training. About 15 minutes into it, I had to ask myself what in God's name I was doing there. I was by far the slowest and out of shape, but now I am determined. Hopefully it's true what they say...no pain, no gain!

Before boot camp, I had a cup of skim milk with a sugar free Carnation Instant Breakfast.

When I got home, I had to quickly get ready for a meeting, so I grabbed an apple and a wheat bagel square with a T. of almond butter and a t. of strawberry jelly.

That held me over until after the meeting. My colleague and I were starving, so we ate at a delicous Thai restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. It was her treat, so thanks Debbie! We shared some spring rolls (not fried), I had a small salad, and then ate 1/2 of a c. of white rice and 1/2 of a plate of chicken with asparagus.

I took a spring roll and the chicken with asparagus home and ate it for dinner. For a treat, I ate a Weight Watchers chocolate popsicle, which hit the spot!
