1.79 Splenic artery aneurysm bad for a 82 year old women is it life threating doc do not want to operate on her my mother

Atherosclerotic arterial calcification and 1.79 cm incidental calcified aneurysm in splenic artery there was inflammation and thickening of small bowell wall in jejunum left upper abdomen and also duodenal bulb. there is haziness also and inflammation in mesenteric fat. she has diabetes hypertension and chronic kidney disease stage 1 diabetic nephropathy. All this sound pretty scary the result of everything the doctor said what she has is very rare splenic artery aneurysm and there is nothing they can really do. would if rapture what happen then and how long can this aneurysm rapture years? Months? Some people told me that she will not live very long. just wondering. Thank you Barbara

I'm not a physician, and that is a long list of medical issues.  I'm sorry to hear this about your mother and I think only someone how has seen her could try to answer your questions as they are so dependent on so many personal factors. You might try getting 2nd or 3rd opinions from other medical providers and that help both of you.
