Today I came home to find our I797C Notification of Action in the mailbox from the Department of Homeland Security!!! We only waited about 2 weeks to get it back!!! Now we wait for USCIS to schedule our biometrics capture in order to get clearance.
This is a BIG freaking deal! The I600A/I797C is a giant step towards processing the paperwork needed to bring in an adopted child (immigrant) from another country and having them become a legal US citizen. This means we need to RUSH getting together our next payment and finishing up the final forms to get our dossier completed with the agency. Our agency told us to hoof it in getting our I600a in because they said that form takes the longest out of all forms and it looks like we were lucky to be processed so quickly.
Aaaaaggggghhhhhhhhhhh!
So now we have to pull together the second payment and remaining papers in order to proceed to the next step - which is referral. :)
Thursday is my laparoscopy (April Fools on me) with Dr. J and I am trying to make the most out of my remaining spring break. I am repainting the dining room and entryway along with some small redecorating projects.
I'm starting to get scared sh*tless about the lap also. Not looking forward to this. at. all.
I went to JoAnne's today and saw two great fabrics for the baby's room. I am trying to decide between apples and flowers. What do you think? I am thinking of painting the walls green. This fabric would be the bumper and bedskirt and a quilt.
If I go with this one I want to use the green for the walls and then yellow for the curtains. Our crib is blue and there's no blue in this fabric.
or
If I do this fabric I will do the inside of the apple color green for the walls and then maybe a darker green for the curtains?
