Working Memory Training Q&A

Posted Jan 07 2009 3:05pm

There’s been a lot of talk lately about working memory training, and how it can help improve symptoms in children, adolescents, and adults struggling with ADHD, anxiety, and several other conditions that can interfere with someone’s ability to learn and retain information.

Today I had the great pleasure to interview my colleague, and CogMed Working Memory training coach, Rebecca Shafir.  We talked for just about an hour, and covered a lot of ground.  Here are the questions we covered:

  • What is working memory?
  • What makes working memory so important?
  • What are the signs of poor working memory?
  • What is the CogMed Working Memory Training program?
  • Who can beneift from CogMed training?
  • What are the effects of Cogmed training?
  • And so much more…

What Do You Think?

We’d love to hear from you. Go ahead and give us your thoughts in the comments below.
