Green vomit is characteristic of dehyrdartion due to excessive vomiting, food poisoning, or appendicitis.
He needs medical attention right away, if you cant get to the ER, call 9-1-1.
They will more than likely provide saline solution (IV) and medication. It is extremely important that he go the hospital or urgent care because drinking water may make things worse.

My husband has had a slightly upset stomach off and on for a few days. This morning he woke up early, nauseous and began with diarrhea then shortly afterward began vomitting. He has been vomitting all day. He has no fever or body aches. He has had intermittent chills. He is now vomitting very green (grass colored) liquid. Is this something that needs immediate attention?
