Jenn’s Gone Crackers, Too

Posted Feb 16 2011 10:02am

It finally happened. I broke down and purchased a box of Mary’s Gone Crackers at Mother Earth’s the other night.

What was I waiting for?! These are fantastic! Thin and flavorful, yet crunchy and durable. Very addictive, but at least they are made with wholesome ingredients. YUM! Can’t wait to try the caraway variety next. :)

When Aunt Flo is in town I always crave beef for some reason. Body telling me I need iron? We didn’t have any beef, and even if we did, I was too busy (and lazy) to fuss with it. So we ordered from Pizza the Rock. I did take the time to prep an amazing salad to go along with it, though.

Bed of raw kale massaged in olive oil + red wine vinegar; pile of butter lettuce, cucumber slices, 2 slices Heartland precooked bacon, 5 Lindsay low sodium black olives, and a drizzle of Bolthouse Farms yogurt blue cheese dressing.

I ordered a 4oz cheeseburger with extra lettuce, extra onion, pickles, and tomato —no mustard or ketchup so I could put my own on at home. Besides, it gets all soggy by the time it gets home if they put it on. :)

YUMMY!! Love their charbroiled burgers. This was my feast after my fast, so the burger by itself was probably 700 calories or so. Worth every calorie, too. :)

Happy 52nd  birthday to my mom!!! Her party is next week, I think it’s tradition in my family to celebrate any day except your actual birthday, lol!

Question: Do you celebrate your birthday on its real date no matter what it falls on? I like to postpone until a weekend if possible. Seems funner that way. :)
