I Wish I had Thought of That

Dad and I are in the fourth day (and night) of his nasty chest cold. He feels fine, he just has a constant hacking cough. Luckily, he does not remember coughing ALL NIGHT and ALL DAY. I wish I could forget the lack of sleep. Anyway, Katie came yesterday and took him to the doctor. They did an x-ray and a battery of tests which ruled out pneumonia, bronchitis or any bacterial infection. We just have to wait it out. When Katie left the doctor's office, she dropped my Dad off at my office about five miles away, and when he arrived, he was coughing like crazy. I asked Katie if she had a cough drop, which she did. Do you think I should see a doctor? Dad asked. I'll get an appointment as soon as possible. I assured him. How does an hour ago suit you? Now that's fast service!
