Many people have a misconception that Acer Extensa 5235 charger do not give a long life to its user and they need to replace the adapter on regular interval. However, I strongly disagree with this misconception as I also have this laptop and I am still using the original Acer Extensa 5235 adapter with my laptop and I never found any problem of burning, cable breaking or any other issues in my laptop adapter that many other people keep on complaining about their adapters.
In case you are one of those people that do not agree with my statement and you also belive that adapter is not good in quality and it gets various problems in regular interval, then I would suggest you to check your handling method of your laptop adapter. Many people are there that do not handle their Acer Extensa 5235 adapter in a proper manner and when they get some problem in it, they put the claim to manufacturer and they say that quality of this particular adapter is very poor and many other people are also facing this problem.
Many people make a mistake that they plug Acer Extensa 5235 Laptop AC adapter in a power supply that has some sparking in it and they never switch of the button while plugging or removing the button. This is not a good practice and it is strongly recommended that people should never use a broken or sparking plug to charge their laptop adapter or any other device else it may damage the adapter and attached device as well.
Other than this, people should also avoid plugging their Acer Extensa 5235 charger with unstable power supply. Voltage fluctuation is one of the biggest enemies for all kind of adapter so you should not plug your laptop adapter in such power source. Few people can say that these chargers are designed to accept the voltage fluctuation between 90 to 240 volt and I do agree with this, but if they will see the consisted voltage fluctuation then it will increase the load on your laptop adapter and it might get damage due to this load. SO make sure you avoid using it when voltage is not stable and if you find it is not possible for you then just put a good quality voltage stabilizer before your Acer adapter that can control the fluctuation of voltage without damaging the adapter in any negative manner.
