How to Stop Procrastination

Posted Nov 10 2008 4:39pm

So, I have been meaning to write a blog post for quite some time about How to Stop Procrastination. But for some reason I just keep putting it off...lol. Seriously, I don't know how to completely stop procrastination and am a bit skeptical of other ADHD professionals who claim they can teach people with Attention Deficit Disorder to stop procrastination.

Oh, I know that most people with ADHD can find ways to procrastinate less. Many can even find ways to use procrastination to their advantage but to stop it completely seems to me like something that is very unlikely to happen. There are just some things that no matter how creative we are and how many strategies we come with, are not going to be fun or enjoyable to do.

I have come to the conclusion that I will probably never completely stop procrastinating. However, I can focus on how I can procrastinate less! Maybe that's something for me to think about in the new year. What is my ideal procrastination time allowance for things I don't enjoy doing?
