Got to Vote Twice...

Posted Nov 10 2008 4:39pm

Adhdvote I knew it was too good to be true today. I went to the correct school to vote this time and was excited because there was no line. I did have a minor glitch because I didn't know what precinct I lived in. After giving me a " you idiot" look a woman looked up my precinct for me and I went to the correct table and got my ballot.

I was a bit overwhelmed by the ballot because I had no clue who more than half of the names on there were. I had no idea about who the school committee and other local people were. But, I filled it in and went to check out. As I put my ballot in the machine I heard a beep!

I voted for too many people on one of those local races. I apologized and they told me not to worry because and I was not the only person who had done that today. I did have to bring my bad ballot to somebody and ask for a new one.

It's good thing I've learned understand and accept my Adult ADHD challenges. I was able to laugh at this experience. There was a time in my life when I would have been really embarrassed and probably even in tears.
