Do the side effects that you would get from an overdose of Adderall XR go away with time?

Posted by gomesjk

I took 900mg of it a few nights ago and am having pretty much all the minor symptons. I just want to know around how long I can anticipate it to end or if I have to get some sort of treatment.

To take 900mg of adderall, you would have consumed 30 of 30mg(strongest doseage pill). I know a few people who take 30mg twice a day, but the maximum recommended daily dose is 30mg. I don't mean to question your actions, but if you indeed took 900mg in a 24 hour period, you need to seek medical care even if you feel o.k.  I am an RN who has worked in the ER, OR and psychiatry; adderall is a drug that can cause heart damage, heart attack and death. I am only in my twenties, but it is heartbreaking to hear stories like yours. I will never forget the day that an 18 year old boy came into my ER after overdosing on cocaine. He had several heartattacks that day that damaged his heart for the rest of his life. Just like all other drugs, they are againts the law. Please inform yourself and whoever is giving you all these pills, that when you take adderall it will show up on a drug test and it is illegal to take it if you do not have a script. (It is also illegal to give your prescribed medication to anyone else).
