One of the biggest challenges that ADD adults have with managing money has to do with discipline. Many ADD adults tend to react negatively when someone mentions discipline. Lets face it discipline has a negative connotation, so lets replace the word "discipline" with "self care". Self care is doing something positive today in order to get continued benefits. It can be as easy as remembering to brush your teeth today. The key to money management is to focus on the positive tasks (like planning, paying bills, reducing spending, etc.) that you are doing today in order so that you can improve your future financial situation. If you do enough positive tasks you will focus less on the negative feelings that you have about money. Changing how you feel about money is the most important step in dealing with how you manage it.
